The entry of demon with the name Corona has negatively impacted tourism industry so that it may take years to come back to normalcy. Half of the Europe used to travel on vacation during summer, which came for halt. Tourist locations in India too were impacted due to lock down. Starting from Shikara's of Srinagar to Houseboat of Alleppey, tourism fraternity is frozen.

 

In Incredible India, the tourist places are not in digits. However, sometimes because of season or natural calamities or may be due to some unrest in the geography makes some tourist locations will be forbidden for tourists. We try to bring them into your notice so that you can make right decision while travelling.

Planning to Visit India? Is India safe from Corona Virus?

India has opened lockdown altogether. However, foreigners are not allowed to come to India using tourist VISA. 


Planning to Visit Kerala? Is It Good Time to Visit Kerala?

Tourist locations in Kerala is yet to be unlocked for tourists. Words are in place so that initially state will support only domestic tourists from Kerala. After a month or so tourist will be allowed from other states.


Planning to visit Shimla? Is It good time to Visit Shimla?

 Shimla is not going to open for tourists on 8th of June. The interstate tourists are allowed only for business travel and there is a quarantine rule in picture.


Planning to visit Manali? Is It good time to Visit Manali?
 
Manali and other part of Himachal Pradesh doesn’t seem to open for tourists soon. 


Planning to visit St. Mary's Island Udupi? Is It Good Time to Visit St Mary's Island?

 Shillong or Meghalaya tourism is planning to start with domestic tourists from state. However as of date,tourist locations are closed.


Planning to visit Bannerghatta National park?

 Bannerghatta national park is opening from 8th of June 2020. There are changes in Safari wrt number of people in each vehicle. Also you can avail tickets only through website.  

Avoid Tuesdays, as it is holiday for bannerghatta national park. Bannerghatta zoo will be closed on 9, 16, 23 and 30th of June 2020. Bannerghatta animal Safari costs 260 INR. Planning to visit Mangalore, Udupi and Murudeshwar?

 Major temples in Mangalore and Udupi is set to open on June 8th. 

Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara , Kukke Subramanya, Kolluru mookambika are the famous temple to open doors for devotees. 

Udupi Krishna temple will not open as per the decision of Adamaru mutt, current seer of Udupi Krishna temple. 

Update: Udupi Krishna temple will not open till July 10th as per insiders from Krishna Temple.

Kateelu Durga Parameshwari temple is still closed and more details on opening date is awaited.

Gokarna temple is closed for tourists and devotees. 

Some of the beaches are open for public. However, there are restrictions for entry of old aged and kids aged below 10 years.

Pilikula Nisarga Dhama is open from June 10th. Monday will be weekly holiday for Nisarga Dhama, Mangalore. 


Planning to visit Lord Balaji Temple in Tirumala Tirupati?

 The ever rush temple Tirupati Balaji Venkateshwara Swami temple is said to open by June 11th. Online tickets can be booked now.


Planning to visit Bisle Ghat?
 Yes. Right time to visit. Even scenic beauty of road makes it worth for visit. You can attach your visit to Bisle ghat with Mookanamane falls closer by. Also Kukke Subramanya is closer by to Bisle ghat view point. 

Planning to visit Taj Mahal?
Taj Mahal is closed as of now. Reopening date is yet to be informed by authorities. Including Mayor of Agra are fighting to open the doors of symbol of love.

Planning to travel in Angriya Cruise?
 Angriya Cruise will be open by October 2020 and as of now the voyage company has cancelled all cruise trips.


Planning to visit Ooty?

 Ooty is not yet open for tourists and restrictions from state is still in place. So avoid planning to Ooty in June.

 

Planning to visit Kodagu or coorg or Madikeri?

Coorg is all set to welcome tourists. Hotels, lodges and Home stays are set to open on 8th June. Omkaranatheshwara temple too is opening on same day.

Update 25.Jun.2020 : Coorg is closed for tourists till mid of July (21 days) as per the voluntary decision taken by local travel fraternity. 

 

Planning to visit Chickmagalur?

Chickmagalur is all set to welcome you post June 8. Sringeri and Horanadu temples will be closed.


Planning to visit Mantralaya Raghavendra Swami Temple? Is It Good Time to Visit mantralaya?

Mantralaya is closed for devotees. You may expect it to open by Jun 15.

Update as of June 15: Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra swami mutt is not opening any time soon. The devotees are requested to wait till further announcement from Mutt committee.

Kashmir is yet to be opened for tourists. The unlocking part of Kashmir has just started. Hence looking for vacation in Kashmir need to wait.


Planning to visit Srilanka?
 Srilanka is opening up by August 1. There is no need of quarantine if you have no symptoms of fever. However, you must need to stay for minimum of 5 days in order to get permission. You need to book hotels which are permitted by government. VISA cost would be close to 8K. Although tourist spots said to get open by August 1, as of now no communication has been made about opening public transport.
