The entry of demon with the name Corona has negatively impacted tourism industry so that it may take years to come back to normalcy. Half of the Europe used to travel on vacation during summer, which came for halt. Tourist locations in India too were impacted due to lock down. Starting from Shikara's of Srinagar to Houseboat of Alleppey, tourism fraternity is frozen.

In Incredible India, the tourist places are not in digits. However, sometimes because of season or natural calamities or may be due to some unrest in the geography makes some tourist locations forbidden for tourists. We try to bring them into your notice so that you can make right decision while travelling.

 Here are few which you may not be able to visit this month.

Planning to Visit India? Is India safe from Corona Virus?

India has opened lockdown altogether. However, foreigners are not allowed to come to India using tourist VISA. 

 

Planning to Visit Kerala? Is It Good Time to Visit Kerala?

Tourist locations in Kerala is yet to be unlocked for tourists. Words are in place so that initially state will support only domestic tourists from Kerala. After a month or so tourist will be allowed from other states.

Planning to visit Shimla? Is It good time to Visit Shimla?

 Shimla is not going to open for tourists yet. The interstate tourists are allowed only for business travel and there is a quarantine rule in picture. Planning to visit Leh through Srinagar? Is It Good Time to Visit Leh?
 Ladakh is not open for tourists yet and recently a border tension has come into picture, which we suggest you to have idea about.

May I visit Shillong now? Is It Good Time to Visit Shillong?
 Shillong or Meghalaya tourism is opening for domestic tourists from state starting from July 1st. Tourists from other state may need to wait for some more time.

May I visit Bannerghatta National park?

 Bannerghatta national park has opened from 8th of June 2020. There are changes in Safari wrt number of people in each vehicle. Also you can avail tickets only through website. As of now both parking and admit tickets needs to be availed online. Social distancing is strictly followed and as of now number of tourists are less.  

Avoid Tuesdays, as it is holiday for Bannerghatta national park. Bannerghatta zoo will be closed on 7, 14, 21 and 28^th of July 2020. Bannerghatta animal Safari costs 260 INR. There are 8 tigers added to Safari area, bringing in more chance to witness tiger during safari.  Follow us in twitter to get update.update as on 4th July, 2020: Bannerghatta will be closed on Sundays and open on Tuesday for next four weeks. 

Planning to visit Mangalore, Udupi and Murudeshwar?

 Major temples in Mangalore and Udupi is open from 8^th of June. 

Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara , Kukke Subramanya, Kolluru mookambika are the famous temple to open doors for devotees. 

Udupi Krishna temple will not open as per the decision of Adamaru mutt, current seer of Udupi Krishna temple. 

Udupi Krishna temple will not open till July 10th as per insiders from Krishna Temple.

Kateelu Durga Parameshwari temple is open from June 14^th. They have enabled admit pass in online for Darshan. One can buy ticket online for the slot they will be visiting for free and follow social distancing rule. One can book Darshan Ticket here.

Gokarna temple is open for tourists and devotees in the morning. 

Some of the beaches are open for public. However, there are restrictions for entry of old aged and kids aged below 10 years.

Pilikula Nisarga Dhama is open from June 10th. Monday will be weekly holiday for Nisarga Dhama, Mangalore. 

Planning to visit Lord Balaji Temple in Tirumala Tirupati?

 The ever rush temple Tirupati Balaji Venkateshwara Swami temple is open from June 11^th.  Online tickets can be booked now. 3000 people are allowed as part of offline quota, while 6000 people are allowed from online booking quota says their recent press statement. Citizens above 65 years, children below 10 years, pregnant women and devotees from containment zones will not be allowed into temple.

 

Planning to visit Bisle Ghat?
 Yes. Right time to visit. Even scenic beauty of road makes it worth for visit. You can attach your visit to Bisle ghat with Mookanamane falls closer by. Also Kukke Subramanya is closer by to Bisle ghat view point. 

Planning to visit Taj Mahal? Is Taj Mahal open today?
Taj Mahal is closed as of now. Reopening date has been informed by authorities as 6th of July 2020. Symbol of Love, Taj Mahal will be closed on 10, 17, 24 and 31st of July 2020 as part of its Friday closure. People interested in night view can visit on 6^th and 7^th of July. One has to buy a ticket day early, in case they would like to visit Taj in moon light.

Update 06.Jul - Due to containment zone issue, opening of Taj Mahal has been postponed. 

Planning to visit Bandipur?
All Jungle lodges and Resorts are open for booking starting from 8th of June.

Planning to travel in Angriya Cruise?
 Angriya Cruise will be open by October 2020 and as of now the voyage company has cancelled all cruise trips.

Planning to visit Ooty? Is Ooty open for tourists?

 Ooty is not yet open for tourists and restrictions from state is still in place. So avoid planning to Ooty in July.

 

Planning to visit Kodagu or coorg or Madikeri?

Coorg is closed for tourists till mid of July (21 days) as per the voluntary decision taken by local travel fraternity. 

 Planning to visit Chickmagalur?

Chickmagalur is all set to welcome you. People of Mullayanagiri and near by places has recently raised concerns that they are at risk as more number of tourists are visiting from nearby cities. However district administration has not closed the door for tourists yet.

Sringeri  Sharadamba temple was open starting from June 8^th. 

Horanadu Annapoorneshwari temple is said to open from July 1^st. To visit temple, it is mandatory to get admit ticket online. The admit ticket is provided free of charge. One can find link here.  Team Book Review suggests weekend travelers to have Sringeri visit early in the morning and then visit Horanadu for lunch. Free Seva lunch is yet to start in Sringeri, while Horanadu is starting prasada Bhojana from July 1^st and temple is open from morning to evening.

Planning to visit Mantralaya Raghavendra Swami Temple? Is It Good Time to Visit mantralaya? Is Mantralaya Temple open now?

Mantralaya is not going to open from July 2^nd, 2020 post COVID-19 closure. Temple has changed the decision at last moment as earlier they had communicated it to open on 2nd. One can find detailed information here.

 

Planning to visit Guruvayur Temple? Is It Good Time to Visit Guruvayur?

Guruvayooru is closed for devotees as of now. It was open hardly for a week starting from June 9^th, However rise in case of COVID in Thrissur closed its doors again. Planning to visit Kaziranga National Park?

Kaziranga National park is Open for public. You can plan your trip to Kamakhya temple as it is said to open on July 1st 2020 post COVID closure. People missed Ambubachi festival due to COVID, which otherwise would have attracted lakhs of devotees from all over the world.

Planning to visit Srinagar or Kashmir?

Kashmir is yet to be opened for tourists. The unlocking part of Kashmir has just started. Hence looking for vacation in Kashmir need to wait. There are discussion in place to allow inter district tourist movement, however administrators are yet to decide on same.

Planning to visit Goa?

Goa has opened its doors for domestic tourists. One needs to carry negative covid certificate in order to enter the state. No quarantine period expected. 

Planning to visit Srilanka?
 Srilanka is opening up by August 1. There is no need of quarantine if you have no symptoms of fever. However, you must need to stay for minimum of 5 days in order to get permission. You need to book hotels which are permitted by government. VISA cost would be close to 8K. Although tourist spots said to get open by August 1, as of now no communication has been made about opening public transport. One has been requested to book cabs or taxis through hotels even before arrival.
