How to travel to Udupi

People travelling to udupi and Mangalore has time to rethink. Major routes has been blocked due to different reasons.

Shiradi ghat is blocked due to construction of road [Update] Shiradi Ghat is open for travel now.

Charmadi ghat has faced land slide in 9 places making it difficult to travel at least till 16 June.

Railway line to Mangalore has been closed due to landslide in edakumeri.

How to reach udupi today

People are expected to take following routes to reach udupi
Bangalore-Hassan-Sakaleshpur-Mangalore-Udupi

Bangalore -hassan-belur -chikmagalur - balehonnur -Sringeri -Agumbe -udupi

Bangalore - Hassan - Belur - Balehonnur - Kalasa - Kuduremukh - karkala - udupi

Bangalore - Mysore- Kodagu - Puttur - Mangalore- Udupi

Flight travel is also a better option unless the rain is too heavy in Mangalore.

Currently following routes are closed.
Kuduremukh Ghat
Some places of Coorg.

Best road to travel is either Coorg - Mangalore - udupi or shivamogga - Udupi

Railway lines are open. One can take up train between Bangalore to udupi.
Charmadi Ghat is open and is the closest route one can take up.
