Open Atal Pension Yojana Online in ICICI Bank
There are very few banks which has opened option to create new Atal Pension Yojana .
Points to be considered:
As transferring Atal pension yojana account is not possible as per NSDL it is better to open account in branch near permanent address .
Make sure to place standing instruction to move required premium for a year to the account attached with APY.
Aadhar card is not mandatory. However as minimum term is 20 year and technology's growth in a multi fold level might help with this small number.
Few banks(specific branches) deviate subscriber to connect to there pension schemes instead of APY. Beware!
ICICI Bank:
Subscriber can open APY online in ICICI bank with following procedure.
Login to your net banking. In "My view" screen search for "Atal". Select Atal Pension Yojana

5. Federal Bank
6. Dena Bank
7. Indian Overseas Bank
8. Oriental Bank of Commerce

On Clicking Submit user will get a SMS . Post 15 days one should recieve PRAN card to permanent residential address of subscriber.
HDFC Bank APY:
HDFC bank has not come up with option of opening APY(Atal Pension Yojana) sitting at home either through online or phone banking(as of 05-06-2016). One has to reach nearest HDFC branch and request for APY. It is a 10 min process where user need not fill any details or produce any proofs . User will be provided with acknowledgement .
SBI APY:
SBI doesnot provide APY facility online(as of 05-06-2016). One has to reach nearest SBI bank to open APY. Address proof is necessary (Preferrably Aadhar).
AXIS Bank APY:
Axis does not provide online APY facility(as of 05-06-2016).

Update: Currently there is no provision to change the service provider or bank account in Atal Pension Yojana as per NSDL.
