Microsoft Edge : 5 Things to expect from Project Spartan

Its Not spartan any more! They call it as Microsoft Edge for Windows 10!


Starting from the logo everything is new here in Microsoft Edge; the most expected Windows Project Spartan. Infact this is the most curious product that is being expected from MS.

1. Now Microsoft Uses Usage History

When the rival browser does it for years now and getting extra closer for people ,its Microsoft's turn now. This might get you some more retargeted ads which you have never seen in Internet explorer.

2. Its Bing everywhere

The features you use to get in Google search might reflect here too. For example Weather keyword would show you the current weather of your location than the legacy 10 website list. But you have seen it somewhere right?

The hotel search nearby option would show you the map and details of hotel ! This might not be a new thing for you , but yes for spartan or Microsoft Edge.

3.Ctrl +P takes you to PDF viewer not to print dialog with Microsoft One Note or XPS.

Print in Microsoft Edge takes you to PDF screen than the legacy dialog so that you can save or print the document downloaded from net. Again its quite new.

4. No more switch on ActiveX. Microsoft Edge has switched it off forever.

One of the most annoying thing was to for setting and enable disable Active X even for microsoft . Now that they are using flashplayer which is already being effectively used by its competitors.

5. Start Highlighting with Pen.

Have you seen adobe reader, Snipping tools feature in which you can highlight, comment on image. You can do the same with Microsoft Edge; which is one of the brightest feature.

This is it for now we should look forward from this Edge software. However Apart from this there are quite few things which found interesting were.

• No support for incognito mode. It does give some problem for user keeping the point one where they have declared edge will start using usage history.
• People are spending more time these days on reading in internet. So cool features of MS word like reading , Saving pages for reading it later like some other browsers are available.
• the new Notification feature like Google now based on usage history might get Microsoft Edge closer to its People.

How does it Work? A guess

It might not be as great as Google , because many of the best sites have not registered with Microsoft yet.

Microsoft speaks about licenses where Google doesnot know what it is. People love the later.

However if Microsoft does !It does in bigger way. They might take time . But they do their best!
