Downgrade HDFC platinum debit card to Titanium card 

just to save annual fee of 500 + taxes.-Procedure

HDFC Bank is about to put annual maintenance charge on Corporate Salary Accounts too! It is going to be 500 + taxes for HDFC Platinum debit card. Although it is nominal for them; for the card holder it is not.

The question to banks is why we?

We pay 10 to 20% of our salary to Government, but the work done by government does not reflect that. Did not they see that when the employer deposited salary to our account?

Why 500 when other banks does it for 100 or free of cost?

Points they credit always for each and every purchase made even before we ask, cannot they discount a 50% points as maintenance charge and stop this 500 +tax cost?

So the decision we took is to downgrade the HDFC debit card from Platinum to Titanium.

Titanium card does not has any annual fee as of now.

Here is the procedure on how to downgrade HDFC Platinum Debit card to HDFC Titanium Card

Procedure

Step 1: Have a photo copy of Govt ID proof.Preferably PAN Card

Step 2: A blank Cheque leaf. (Most of the time won't be of use.)

Step 3: Go to nearest HDFC bank.

Step 4: Submit the form and apply for titanium debit card.

Step 5: You need not pay any replacement charge. 
Reach out to your bank post a week to collect your new titanium card.
